One of UK’s tallest all-terrain booms arrives in Wigan

Riwal Genie ZX 135 70 Extended

As part of Riwal’s ongoing investment into its UK hire fleet, the company has added a new 43-metre rough terrain articulated boom lift to its Wigan hire fleet.

The Genie ZX-135/70 articulated boom lift is highly-regarded because of its up and over capability combined with a below ground reach of more than 5 metres.

Riwal UK Rental and Fleet Manager Gary Specht said: “The Genie ZX-135/70’s impressive working envelope and unique articulation capabilities allows operators to complete a wider range of working at height jobs that other machines.

“For some projects, this will allow our customers to hire just this machine, instead of several types, which contributes to safety, productivity and sustainability.

“There are not many boom lifts with this working height that have a 4x4 drive and steer systems like this Genie. It will cope well with almost all rough terrain environments customers are likely to encounter.

“Our customers want rough terrain articulated boom lifts with up-and-over positioning capability for working on complex and large outdoor construction and maintenance projects such as large warehouse developments, wind turbines and tower blocks. The Genie ZX-135/70 is also ideal for working on industrial silos and fuel storage tanks.”

Precise positioning for increased productivity

The articulated boom lift features a 3.66 to 6.10 metre telescoping jib with 110-degree vertical rotation for precise platform positioning.

It has a maximum working height of 43 metres, an up-and-over clearance of 23 metres, a 21-metre reach and a below-ground reach of 5.87 metres.

Riwal has one of the newest powered access hire fleets in the UK. Its investment strategy gives customers early access to the newest mobile elevating platforms (MEWPs) that are safer and more productive to operate.

Riwal’s global presence means it can source and deliver the right aerial platform for the job regardless of how hard to find the model is, or how many machines are required, with just-in-time delivery.

Riwal hire experts work with customers from the start of the project to the finish, managing changing aerial platform requirements as the project progresses.
