Riwal Danmark A/S was the first in Denmark to offer IPAF training courses to both Danish and foreign operators of scissor lifts, boom lifts and truck mounted lifts.

IPAF Training for Operators

IPAF stands for ‘International Powered Access Federation’ and is a branch organization that educates individuals in how to operate scissor lifts, booms and truck-mounted lifts in the most safe way possible. The training course will create more safety at your site and at the same time ensure a better and more efficient use of an Aerial Working Platform (AWP).

IPAF Courses

IPAF courses all contain a two-part test - a theoretically and a practical test, which have to be passed in order to obtain a IPAF certificate. The certificate, which is obtained by completing the IPAF course is referred to as a PAL-Card (Powered Access License). The PAL-card is valid for 5 years.

At Riwal Denmark we take pride in offering IPAF courses since we believe that safety comes before anything else. With a IPAF license you and your employees are well suited in order to work with high safety at the site using Aerial Working Platforms.

The requirements for being a certified IPAF operator of aerial working platforms is continuously increasing. If you work internationally it is mandatory to hold a valid IPAF certificate. Riwal offers education in categories relevant for work applications at any height.

At Riwal Danmark we offer the following categories:

  • Category 1b

Static boom – training in safe use of truck mounted lift.

  • Category 3a

Mobile vertical – training in safe use of scissor lift.

  • Category 3b

Mobile boom – training in safe use of boom lift.

All categories are taught in either English or Danish which makes it easier for international companies and personnel to obtain their IPAF-certificate. The course takes 7,5 hours to complete and the attendants are introduced to the practical aspects of the machines and how to safely operate them. The course will leave you with a broad professional knowledge regarding working in all heights with machines of a certain category.

The IPAF courses are held at Riwal but can be done on-site at the customers' workplace in order of agreement.
