Riwal generates revenues of over € 265 million while operating a fleet of 20.000 rental units and employing 2.500 people across 16 countries (in Europe, Middle East, India and Kazakhstan). Account Manager International Rental

Dordrecht, 40 hrs per week

 

Going the extra mile for great customers

This is a high-profile role within a diverse Rental team of 10 people based at Riwal’s headquarters in Dordrecht, the Netherlands. You will enjoy a high degree of freedom, while working together with higher-level management as you will be responsible for a significant client base that makes a large contribution to overall revenue.

Your core task is to develop rental revenue and margin from a customer base that is 80-90% international (Europe). You pursue the growth of rental activities through new customers, new countries, new projects and increased wallet share with existing customers. This requires you to manage strategic key accounts and large international rental customers in close cooperation with our country rental organizations.

Our success is based on the trust and loyalty of a valued customer base and we do all we can to ‘go the extra mile’ for our customers. It is imperative that you embody the same customer-focused approach whilst also helping to formulate the Group’s international rental strategy, annual growth plans and budgets.

 

In terms of specific activities, this requires you to:

  • Gather, analyze and anticipate customer needs and market developments, updating and managing this information in a CRM system;
  • Report market information in a structured and accurate manner;
  • Build action plans and take corrective measures to reach goals;
  • Issue quotes and convert these into profitable rental contracts;
  • Manage and report own performance based on KPIs, figures and targets;
  • Participate in trade shows and events.           

In normal times i.e. without corona measures, you typically travel for about two or three days a week, visiting customers and projects within Europe. You will be supported by a rental desk employee who will support with many administrative matters

 

Technical knowledge and an engaging personality

You will fill the position of a long-time employee who retires at the end of 2021. As such, there will be plenty of time to introduce you to our company and to learn all about our products and services, and the requirements of our customers. However, we would prefer it if you already have knowledge of the machine rental industry.

Needless to say, you are a highly proactive and structured professional who can operate independently in order to meet demanding targets. You should also be familiar with the digital possibilities in terms of enabling our customers to interact with Riwal via our digital portal, and in terms of marketing our company via social media.

As someone with an outgoing and engaging personality you enjoy networking and cooperating with the Rental Desk, International Sales, Marketing, Finance, Management and other important internal stakeholders.

 

You should also bring the following attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional level certification;
  • At least 5 years of experience in rental/sales and key account management;
  • Proven track record of international key account management;
  • Excellent language skills in English and, preferably, Germann and/or French (written and spoken);
  • Willing and motivated to travel internationally as required.
