The Company 

Riwal is an international company specialized in the rental and sales of aerial work platforms and related machinery. Riwal generates revenues of over € 265 million while operating a fleet of 20.000 rental units and employing 2.500 people across 16 countries (in Europe, Middle East, India and Kazakhstan). To strengthen our Finance Department at our global headquarters we are currently looking for an

Accounting Specialist

36-40 hrs per week – International HQ - Dordrecht, the Netherlands

Riwal operates in a competitive environment and our customers expect high levels of safety, availability, customer service and on-time delivery. Your mission in this role is to independently, accurately and timely processing the financial accounting and reporting for our Holding, for the Group Equipment companies ánd the other HQ-entities.

 

In terms of specifics, this requires you to:

  • Process incoming (PO/nonPO/expense reports/bank statements) invoices and documents;
  • Process outgoing (intercompany) invoices following the group policies;
  • Process asset and fleet movements (financial accounting);
  • Prepare and process payment runs and manual payments for approval;
  • Send out and review intercompany reconciliations;
  • Follow and complete accounting closing procedures and entries within the deadlines;
  • Prepare account Reconciliations and Closing binder documentation for review and audit;
  • Prepare (domestic and foreign) VAT returns;
  • Support statutory and management reporting for HQ;
  • Participate in HQ financial accounting improvements projects;
  • Support and service internal customers in compliance with procedures;

Besides that, you also bring the following attributes: 

  • Advanced level accounting skills in an international environment;
  • Bachelor degree (HBO) or experienced work level (relevant experience MBO level);
  • Relevant experience in a comparable financial accounting role (AP/AR/GL);
  • Experience with an ERP system;
  • Team player with service and result orientation;
  • Advanced language (ENG) and system (ERP, MS Office) skills;
  • Eager to learn and develop.
